Park, growing in time

The park of future generations is a new public space in Yakutsk in every sense. The main zones of the park are located around the square in the form of the ancient Yakut calendar, which also symbolizes the main deity of the Sakha people – the white sun. Time and the sun are the main companions of future generations.

With each generation, the park, as a living organism, will grow. On the site of open themed sites, buildings with hills, a lawn and an amphitheater on the roof will appear. Each hill will provide the park with warm public and commercial spaces. An info center, a youth center, a greenhouse, an art park – these four hill buildings will make the park a self-sustaining and all-season object. They are complemented by a pedestrian area with a boulevard for walks and a dedicated lane for outdoor activities and sports.

Thus, the park becomes an incubator of new public spaces – youth centers, coworking, cafes, winter gardens, bicycle paths, sports and children’s playgrounds – not only for the surrounding area, but also for the entire city.

The project took the 2nd place in the All-Russian competition, the jury of which was headed by the Head of the Republic of Sakha Aisen Nikolaev.
